Vancouver - Clearwater - Wells Gray Park - Valemount - Jasper - Banff - Sunshine Village - Lake Louise - Golden - Revelstoke - Nelson - Rossland - Fernie

Western Canada has great skiing and so much more!  Extend your skiing skills to off-piste powder and experience dog sledding, snowmobiling and ice climbing. If you have done it all or never at all, this tour can take you to next level, away from the crowds on the piste. All activities are optional; if you want to pass on anything, we have other options in place. Your guide is with you, to organize your choice of activity.

We have a selection here that is based around a ski holiday. With small numbers of skiers to each guide (up to 7 people) we can achieve a high range of activities.

Itinerary

Day 1: Vancouver
Arrive and make your way to hotel - overnight in Vancouver
Day 2: Vancouver to Clearwater
Meet your guide, load up the van and head out to Wells Gray Park. This area is good for getting acclimatized to winter. Check out frozen waterfalls, look for wild life tracks and get in that snow!
Day 3 / 4 / 5: Valemount
After a brief exploration of Wells Gray Provincial Park, head out early evening for a few days in Valemount, B.C.  Spend the next two days driving your own snowmobile high up the mountains and powder bowls of the Monashee Mountains, and take a dogsled team to an alpine cabin for a cook out lunch.  Returning before dark!
Day 6: Jasper
After a leisurely breakfast, continue on to Jasper stopping to view Mr Rosbson, and the numerous frozen waterfalls along the way.  This evening get equipped for ice climbing tomorrow.
Day 7: Jasper
A day to explore and climb the ice caves and frozen waterfalls of Maligne Canyon. You might want to hold back from saying, "it's like being in Narnia".
Day 8: Banff
Drive the Icefields Parkway visiting frozen waterfalls, "ooh"ing and "ahh"ing at ice-covered cliff faces and towering snow capped peaks before reaching the iconic Rocky Mountain village of Banff!
Day 9: Banff
Ski Sunshine Village!!
Day 10: Banff
Ski Lake Louise!!
Day 11: Golden
Leave Banff and head to Golden. If you're up for it we can leave early and catch a days skiing at Kicking Horse (aptly named for its kick ass terrain) or have a rest day with some winter sightseeing along the way at Lake Louise and depending on snow conditions, some frozen trails!
Day 12: Kicking Horse to Revelstoke
Ski Kicking Horse Mountain, then transfer to your overnight accommodation on Mount Revelstoke, ready for a big day of skiing tomorrow.
Day 13: Revelstoke
We will spend another day here because you won't want to leave after yesterday's excitement in the the powder bowls and the extensive tree terrain of this mountain.
Day 14: Revelstoke to Nelson
Depart Revelstoke for a leisurely day's drive to the Kootenay Mountain region. We take the Galena Bay ferry and enjoy a soak at Ainsworth Hot Springs before reaching Nelson.
Day 15 : Nelson
Nelson for the next two days of skiing at Whitewater Ski hill, a small, local hill with kick ass conditions and terrain. Don't let the locals put you to shame.
Day 16: Nelson to Rossland
Ski Whitewater Ski Hill in Nelson for the day then drive the one hour to Rossland. Overnight Rossland ready to ski the next day.
Day 17: Rossland
Ski Red Mountain Resort!! Among Canadians, you're not a skier until you can handle this place.
Day 18: Tour ends Fernie
We can ski on this our last day also, if the legs will stand it! Depart Rossland in the morning and, for those flying out of Cranbrook, we drop off at the airport. Die hards with the luxury of time have been known to stay on in Fernie skiing independently. Some have gone feral.
